Attention: Anyone who's SICK of feeling like an NPC in their own social life…
Revealed on this page: The “Social Rewiring” system that turns you from timid & shy to a master of your own destiny — without forcing you into overwhelming social situations or “brute forcing” cold interactions.
Your brain doesn't want you to have a great social life.
It's wired to keep you from being alone, not to make your social life rich and meaningful.
Which means your brain would rather play it safe with the social life you have than take any chances to make it better.
So it runs an automatic psychological loop that sabotages your social life in the name of survival.
And no matter how many times you promise yourself you'll finally start a conversation with the interesting person next to you, tell the person you're seeing how you really feel, or ask your boss about that promotion, the loop pulls you back.
It’s also why you can't follow through on the surface-level advice most social skills programs teach, like conversation starters, scripts, or body language hacks.
Because as good as those tactics might be…
They are all for nothing unless you fix this loop first.
And that’s exactly what this page is about.
I’m going to show you where this loop comes from…
Exactly how it holds you back socially...
And how you can break free from it the same way dozens of others just like you have.
For example:
Pierre used to feel socially awkward and stuck in his head. He started small, chatting to a few strangers at bus stops and in cafés. Then, on a single sober night out, he struck up conversations with dozens of people.
Daniel was sure that if anyone saw his vulnerable, messy side, they'd walk away. So he spent years keeping it hidden. Now he's finally letting it show on dates, and in his words, it's gone really well.
Clara missed karate for 8 long years, but kept holding herself back from going back. Now she's finally doing what she loves again.
To understand how they changed, you first need to see what was holding them back, because it's probably holding you back too.
So, in the next few minutes, I’ll show you:
The surprising source of most of the pain in your social life, and it's probably not what you think.
Why your brain treats starting a conversation, setting a boundary, showing attraction, or asking for a raise like real danger. And why that has nothing to do with being shy, awkward, or broken.
Why playing it safe feels so good in the moment, and why that good feeling is exactly what keeps you stuck.
The real reason "push through the fear" backfires for so many people. Plus, the small shift that finally worked for me and so many others.
How you might be just one conversation away from a completely different life. One that decides who you date, who your closest friends are, and where your career goes.
But first, let me introduce myself.
A random photo of me taken when I was 19 turned out to reflect exactly how I felt socially.
Hi, I’m Lewis from the YouTube channel Newel of Knowledge.
These days, I find myself comfortable in rooms I never imagined I'd be in, like flying across Europe to speak to 50+ employees at a multi-million-dollar startup.
I've travelled alone to Mexico and built a whole new social circle from scratch. And along the way, I've grown a YouTube channel to over 700K subscribers.
But if someone had told me 7 years ago that this is how my life would look now, I’d have said they must be talking about someone else, not me.
Because I used to settle for a social life that looked fine from the outside. If anything, people might've called me a little reserved, but no one would've thought I had anything to complain about…
But on the inside, I was miserable. Suppressing what I actually wanted just to keep things comfortable.
Maybe you’ve experienced some of this too…
At a social event, I'd find myself alone on the sidelines, refreshing the weather app on my phone, hoping someone would initiate the conversation for me…
When someone crossed a line with me, I'd feel it in my chest and let it go anyway, telling myself it wasn't a big deal, even when it was…
Every time I was attracted to someone, I'd wait for a sign that they felt the same before I let myself show it…
At work, I’d avoid asking my boss for a raise when I knew I had earned it, even when I knew I’d lose nothing from just asking.
Moments like these just kept happening, week after week until I barely recognised myself anymore.
And this constant holding back made me deeply unhappy.
That's when I noticed the pattern, and I later realised it isn't just me.
For me, it looked like this:
Almost sending the message.
Almost asking the question.
Almost setting the boundary.
Almost expressing attraction.
Almost telling someone I appreciate them.
Almost speaking up in the moment.
Almost posting the thing.
Almost taking the opportunity.
I told myself I’d do it, but at the last minute I always backed out.
And playing it safe like this didn't exactly lead to a vibrant, deeply fulfilling social life.
So, I knew something needed to change.
But I ran into a frustrating contradiction…
I read every book on confidence, people-pleasing, and setting boundaries I could find…
I watched every video on conversation starters, flirting, and speaking up in groups…
And I kept a note on my phone full of conversation topics and things to say in awkward moments, so I'd never be caught off guard…
But none of it worked.
Consuming content felt productive, like I was actually solving the problem.
Two years flew by like that.
Then one day I was sitting on a park bench, watching a beginner salsa class a few metres away, pretending I wasn't interested.
The truth was I'd wanted to join a class like that for as long as I could remember.
So that's when it hit me…
I didn't need more social skills advice.
You probably don't either.
Because you can know exactly what to say, how to start the conversation, even how to posture your body while you do it…
But still not do it.
The problem was never a lack of social skills. It's something underneath that stops you from using them in the first place.
No technique in the world can help you if you never get far enough to use it.
So I stopped learning social skills and started reading psychology.
Psychologist Timothy Wilson explains in his book published by Harvard University Press that your brain takes in roughly 11 million bits of information every second.
That’s like reading two 800-page novels’ worth of information every second.
But your conscious mind can only process about 40 of those bits, roughly a sentence per second.
Which is a HUGE bottleneck.
This means your conscious mind sees only a tiny slice of what's happening around you. The rest is processed outside your conscious awareness.
That's why so much of your life runs on autopilot.
This autopilot learns from experience, from what you've seen, been through, and been told, and then reacts automatically the next time something similar happens.
And for evolutionary reasons, it's highly sensitive to social risk.
Because for most of human history, being rejected or cast out of the group meant being alone, and being alone meant becoming lunch for the nearest hungry animal lurking in the woods nearby.
So basically…
You're hardwired to have a social life, one that keeps you from being alone, but not one that's optimised to be fulfilling and meaningful
And that's exactly what was happening to me.
I had friends and family, which meant I wasn't alone. And to my brain, that was enough.
But every time I tried to make it something more, sending the message, speaking up, or telling someone I liked them, my autopilot pulled me back before I'd even had a chance to decide.
Over and over, the same thing kept happening.
In other words…
Here's how this hidden loop holds you back:
The moment you try to make your social life better by initiating that conversation, speaking up in the moment, or taking that opportunity, your brain predicts some sort of social risk.
This can be anything from rejection and embarrassment to negative judgement or conflict.
Because of this, you’re immediately met with resistance.
You feel the discomfort, physical sensations (e.g., blushing, sweating, trembling), and your mind starts flashing worst-case scenarios, which sometimes blur into full HD horror trailers.
Then the conclusion becomes: “This is bad, this is going to go wrong, I can feel it, DON’T DO IT!”
So you escape.
But escaping doesn’t always look like running for the exit door.
For me, escaping mainly looked like staying quiet, becoming agreeable, or acting indifferent, depending on the situation. In other words, whatever lowered the social risk the quickest.
And the moment you escape, you get hit with instant relief.
Your heart stops beating out of your chest, your breathing slows, and you feel like you’ve avoided something genuinely dangerous.
Put simply, you feel better.
This is where your brain learns that escaping even imagined social risk leads to reward. So the next time you face something similar, it automatically steers you toward the same escape.
That’s the psychological loop.
Once I knew what to look for, I started spotting it all over my own life…
I'd get asked to do something I didn't want to, imagine them being disappointed in me if I said no, and avoid that by saying yes anyway.
I'd want to ask someone I liked for their number, picture the rejection, and avoid it by acting like I wasn't interested.
I'd be served the wrong order at a restaurant, imagine making a scene if I mentioned it, and avoid it by eating it anyway.
Chances are, you've got your own versions of these.
Regardless of the situation, I was constantly protecting myself from a worst-case future that only existed in my head. And because I always escaped, I never found out whether it would actually happen.
My brain mistook the relief I felt from avoiding the imagined social risk for proof that backing out was the right call.
And yours is doing the exact same thing.
Which means the loop is never going to fix itself…
No matter how long you wait.
For a while, I thought the solution was becoming the pure embodiment of the Nike slogan “Just Do It”.
Which was a disaster.
Whenever I tried to force myself to go from 0 to 100 and face the situations I'd held back from for years, I'd freeze, panic, and escape twice as fast as before.
So I tried something else.
I prepared and rehearsed what to say, so I wouldn't have to think in the moment. I'd just execute…
But the discomfort the Avoidance Loop creates at the edge of the moment makes you forget half of what you were going to say.
So that didn’t work either.
I even tried moving to a new city, hoping a fresh start would do what nothing else had. Surrounded by people who had no idea how much I held back and played it safe, I thought I could finally reinvent myself.
But it turns out you can’t leave the Avoidance Loop behind at the airport. It moves with you.
And within a few months, I'd built the same unfulfilling social life, just in a different city.
A random personal growth book got recommended to me on my Kindle.
I wasn't looking for answers. I read it expecting nothing from it, figuring it might make a decent YouTube video at best.
The book introduced an idea of mini experiments to turn big, intimidating changes into small tests you can actually start. It was mainly aimed at things like careers, new projects, and hobbies.
But I thought, what if I applied this to my social life and used it to break the Avoidance Loop?
And I made more progress than everything I'd tried before, combined.
This is me in Croatia, after giving a talk about my YouTube journey to a multi-million-dollar startup.
Once I started taking these mini experiments, not only did my comfort zone start to expand, but I quickly saw myself do things I was never able to do before.
I started asking for help, when I used to see it as a sign of weakness.
I expressed my needs and set boundaries in my relationship, something I never did in my first one, which is why it crumbled.
I started going to the gym after years of training at home and in the park to avoid being judged.
I let go of relationships and friendships that were no longer good for me.
I spent three months travelling solo through Mexico and built an entire social circle from zero, just by getting comfortable starting conversations with strangers.
I posted my first YouTube video after putting it off for months, and a year later, I flew across Europe to give a talk to 50+ employees at a multi-million-dollar startup, feeling completely at home in the room.
I’m not perfect, far from it.
I still have moments where the Avoidance Loop holds me back.
But taking these mini experiments has loosened the loop's grip to the point where my life looks nothing like it used to.
And you might not need much for that to happen.
It may just be a singular moment, one that you’re finally able to go for, that has a deeply positive impact on your life.
Waking up next to your soulmate every day because you were the one who said something first, instead of waiting for a sign.
Deepening a friendship for good, because you were the one who said the vulnerable thing first, instead of staying guarded.
Getting the opportunity, promotion, or raise that came from putting yourself forward, instead of waiting to be noticed.
Just a handful of moments like these can change the entire trajectory of your life.
But these big moments aside, what matters more is how I feel in everyday life.
I feel more free, more alive, and I'm excited about the person I'm becoming.
Plus, I know I'll have far fewer regrets, if any, when one day I'm sitting on a rocking chair looking back.
It works because each mini experiment gives your brain a piece of evidence that escaping is no longer needed in that situation.
This new evidence starts to rewire the automatic response that used to make you back out at the last second.
And what made it work for me so well was that each experiment is small enough that it never becomes overwhelming, so I was actually able to do them.
So gradually, as the evidence piles up, your brain starts to understand that the Avoidance Loop was no longer protecting you.
It was only holding you back.
Think of it like learning to dive.
If you've never jumped into water from a height, you don't start on the 10-metre platform. You start at one metre, and you repeat it until it feels normal. Then you move up to three, then five, and eventually to seven and a half.
And by the time you're standing on the 10-metre platform, the jump feels like the next logical step, not an overwhelming leap into the unknown.
Social Rewiring works the same way.
Each experiment builds on the last, gradually proving to your brain that even the harder moments, the ones that come with full HD horror trailers, are fine too.
Soon enough, you notice that the Avoidance Loop doesn’t control you like it used to.
And that's when all the social skills tips and techniques you've already learned finally start working, because nothing is holding you back from using them anymore.
So when it's time to send that message, speak up, or tell someone you like them, your brain no longer slams the brakes automatically.
Instead, you can just send it, say it, and go for it.
I couldn’t believe it.
It’s one thing to have something work for you but to see it work for others is what really got me.
They were able to step into moments the Avoidance Loop had held them back from for years.
Pierre got comfortable enough to initiate conversations with practically anyone, something that had seemed impossible to him over the past 25 years.
After 8 years of talking herself out of it, Clara finally walked back into her karate class.
Daniel spent his whole life steering clear of travelling alone. This year, he finally did it, flying solo for work and proving to himself he could.
I felt like I'd found the answer, not just for me, but for anyone who'd ever been stuck in the loop.
For a lot of them, it worked great. But a few noticed something strange…
They were doing the Social Rewiring, and they were getting more comfortable, but in situations they didn't really care about. They were getting better at small talk with strangers when what they actually wanted was to speak up at work, or finally tell someone how they felt.
That's when I realised what was missing.
Before even trying Social Rewiring, you need to understand exactly how the Avoidance Loop is holding you back.
Once they got that clarity, things started to click. They stopped socialising for the sake of socialising and started working on the moments between them and the social life they wanted.
Around the same time, I noticed my YouTube comments were full of people struggling.
They were stuck in the same loop, getting right to the edge of the moment and backing out at the last second, unable to use the social skills advice I had shared.
That's when I knew I needed to put everything together into one program.
The Social Breakthrough is my self-paced, 7-module program that helps you finally get unstuck in your social life.
It’s designed to break the root cause of why you hold back in the moments that matter to you the most, so you can finally start showing up the way you've always wanted to.
And I've organised everything into an easy-to-follow structure, so you always know exactly what to do next.
In just a single evening (or two), you'll uncover how the Avoidance Loop is holding you back, and learn how to start breaking it with Social Rewiring. You'll walk away with a clear path to becoming someone who no longer backs out at the last second.
And it works without forcing yourself into overwhelming situations.
Plus, it's built for real life. There's no need to block off half your day to "practise socialising." You can use it in your everyday life, and still see results.
So within a few videos, you can finally start sending the messages, saying the things, and taking the chances you've been holding back on.
For example, one of my students, Jordan, had felt stuck in his social life for a decade.
After going through the program, he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He finally saw that he had a choice to be different.
A few days later, he was starting conversations with total strangers, something he'd always wanted to do but never could, and meeting some cool new acquaintances along the way.
If you want this kind of result, then the Social Breakthrough is perfect for you.
The program is split into two parts.
In this part, you’ll map out what the Avoidance Loop looks like specifically for you with an easy-to-fill template.
This is the most important step, as you can’t fix what you can’t see. And the Avoidance Loop looks different to you, me, and everyone else, so no cookie-cutter advice would work.
The Avoidance Loop Compass: Uncover the exact, specific moment in your own life where the Avoidance Loop shows up, mapped out until you have a real situation you can point to.
The small-moment paradox: Why it's not the big social risks that make you unhappy, but the dozens of tiny ones you avoid every week without even noticing.
The "not ready" myth: What that hesitant feeling in your chest actually means, and why the story you've been telling yourself about it has been making every moment feel heavier than it needs to.
The three disguises of backing out: Why most people don't recognise their own escapes, because they rarely look like running away, and how to spot which one you rely on most.
The avoidance tax: Add up every friendship, relationship, and opportunity playing it safe has already cost you, and see where continuing without any change would lead you.
Your real "why": The reason underneath wanting to change, the one that makes stepping into a moment feel worth it, even when a part of you wants to back out.
In the second part, you'll know exactly how to use Social Rewiring to break the Avoidance Loop, so you can expand your comfort zone, making the actions you currently avoid feel like your new normal.
The tiny-test trick: The Social Rewiring method I rely on almost daily to turn the moments I used to back out of, like chatting to a stranger, finally saying the hard thing, or showing love to family and friends, into small experiments I actually follow through on.
The Stretch-Zone framework: How to turn any moment you'd normally avoid into a step that pushes you just enough, never so little it's pointless, never so much it's paralysing.
The 10-second calm-down: How to settle a racing heart and a shaky voice in seconds, right before you speak up, hit send, or say hello.
The failure-proof scorecard: Why judging a moment by how it went keeps you stuck, and what to measure instead, so no moment can ever "go wrong" again.
The bounce-back routine: What to do right after a moment doesn't go how you hoped, so one awkward exchange never turns into "I'll never do that again."
And soon enough, your social life will start to change.
At a social event, you'll no longer be on the sidelines with your phone. You’ll walk up to someone and start the conversation yourself.
When someone crosses a line, this time you’ll say something.
When you're attracted to someone, you’ll let it show, without waiting for a sign they feel the same.
And at work, you’ll finally ask for the raise you know you've earned.
One by one, moments like these stop feeling like “one-offs” and start feeling like the new normal.
The hardest moment to step into is always the first one.
Once you've done it, your brain has proof that the Avoidance Loop was wrong, and every moment after that gets a little easier.
And I want to help you get there.
Since your Avoidance Loop is unique to you, the way you apply Social Rewiring will be unique too.
So if you ever get stuck on the way to your first win, you can message me directly inside the program. Sometimes an outside perspective can spot in a minute what might take you a month to see on your own.
And when you get your first win, send it to me. I want to hear all about it!
"I used to hold back around new people, especially women. Now I'm able to speak with ALL sorts of new people, attractive women included, whether I'm standing in line, grabbing something at a convenience store, or at an event.
I recently travelled solo for work, something that used to be completely off the table for me. But I did it, and cast some votes for the person I want to be!
I've also been building strong connections with the coaches and guys I train with at jiu-jitsu, having deeper conversations about ego, self-talk, and mental health. Moments I would've avoided in the past out of fear of judgement.
And in dating, I always thought showing my messy, vulnerable side would get me rejected. I was wrong… It went really well.
Do I still back out occasionally? Absolutely. But I'm much more equipped to recover from it now, instead of labelling myself as a broken, awkward, antisocial person."
“The avoidance loop explained why I've felt stuck for the past decade. Mapping my personal loop gave me a picture of how I've chosen to be, and I can choose to be different now. It feels like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders.
Three days later, I was able to initiate conversations that I normally wouldn't, without forcing myself over my own limits. I've kept it going since, making small comments to people, and within about a week, I'd met some cool new acquaintances.”
"Your program helped me transform my social life to an extraordinary degree — something that had seemed impossible to me over the past 25 years.
I went from being socially awkward and stuck in my head to being able to speak to 70+ strangers in a single night."
I want to make you this personal promise.
When you go through this program, you'll be able to step into a moment you'd normally avoid, even if it's just a tiny step outside your current comfort zone.
In the unlikely event that's not the case, message me inside the program within the first year, and I'll personally help you work through what's blocking you from being able to take that next step.
And if it still doesn't work after that, I'll gladly refund you in full.
In other words, you’re guaranteed to get this program working for you, or you get your money back.
You’ve probably seen programs that invent a price for every module, tool, and bonus, add it all up to “£10,000 worth of value,” then “discount” it by 95%.
I’m not going to do that.
Here’s what you actually get:
The full Social Breakthrough program, the only program designed to help you break the Avoidance Loop, so you can stop backing out at the last second.
A simple template to map your own Avoidance Loop, so you know exactly what’s been holding you back.
The Social Rewiring system that’s worked for me and my students, with examples and personal stories at every step, so you always know what to do next.
Practical tools that make big moments feel doable, calm your nerves in seconds, and help you bounce back fast when something doesn’t go to plan.
And direct access to me, to help you get your first win.
Plus, full protection from my Personal Guarantee.

For example…
Starting a conversation with the interesting stranger on the train, before they get off at the next stop.
Showing someone you like that you’re interested, while they’re still single.
Sharing contacts with the person you clicked with at the party, before they leave and you never see them again.
Joining the class you’ve walked past for months, while there’s still a spot open.
Applying for the role, going for the promotion, or sending the pitch you’ve been sitting on, before the opportunity passes.
These moments rarely feel as important when they pass. But they have a way of resurfacing later, when there’s no longer any chance to act on them.
Bronnie Ware saw this first-hand.
Bronnie spent years caring for people in the final weeks of their lives.
When she asked them about their regrets, the same few themes kept coming up, again and again. She later shared them in what became a hugely popular blog post, and then a book.
Here's what people wished, at the very end:
I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
I wish I hadn't worked so hard.
I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.
I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
I wish that I had let myself be happier.
Four of the five aren't about money or success.
They're about moments they held back from.
The feelings they kept to themselves to keep the peace, the friendships they let slip away, and the life they never quite let themselves live, because playing it safe felt easier.
None of those regrets came from one big decision. Because living true to yourself, staying close to your friends, and letting yourself be happy aren't things you do once. They're things you choose, moment by moment, again and again.
Those regrets were built from small moments that never seemed to matter at the time, like:
Almost sending the message telling a friend how much you appreciate them always looking out for you.
Almost asking a question to the interesting person standing next to you in the supermarket.
Almost drawing the line with a parent or a friend, the one that would finally lift a weight off your shoulders.
Almost showing the person who makes your heart skip a beat that you’re attracted to them.
Almost sharing the joke that would’ve made the whole group laugh.
Each "almost" feels harmless on its own.
But stack enough of them together, and they add up to a life you never fully lived.
So right now, you have two choices.
You can keep letting the small moments pass, and hope the regrets never catch up with you.
Or you can start breaking the loop that’s been holding you back, and fill your life with moments you actually lived, so that one day, when you look back, there’s very little you wish you’d done differently.
If you’d like my help with that, click the button below to get started:
You've got questions. I've got answers.
The Social Breakthrough is my self-paced, 7-module program that helps you finally get unstuck in your social life.
It’s the only program designed to help you break the Avoidance Loop, so you no longer back out of social moments that truly matter to you.
The program is split into two parts.
In the first part, you’ll map out what the Avoidance Loop looks like specifically for you with an easy-to-fill template.
This is the most important step, as you can’t fix what you can’t see. And the Avoidance Loop looks different to you, me, and everyone else, so no cookie-cutter advice would work.
In the second part, you'll know exactly how to use Social Rewiring to break the Avoidance Loop, so you can expand your comfort zone, making the actions you currently avoid feel like your new normal.
And you can go through the whole program in an evening or two.
Yes. If you want to hold back less in moments that matter to you and finally be able to step into them without backing off at the last second, then it’s perfect for you.
This program is primarily designed for people like I was 7 years ago.
People who might even have solid social lives, at least from the outside, but who've secretly held back and played it safe for years. Especially in the moments they know would make them happier, if they could just go for it.
That said, if any part of what you've read so far felt familiar, even if your situation looks a little different, there's a good chance this is still for you.
Most social skills programs give you surface-level advice.
Conversation starters, introduction templates, body language hacks, etc.
Which is fine if that’s all you need.
But most people have a deeper problem, which is that they’re stuck in the Avoidance Loop.
Which means no matter what surface-level advice other programs teach they won’t work until the root of the problem is addressed first.
The Social Breakthrough shows you exactly how the Avoidance Loop is holding you back and shows you how Social Rewiring can break that loop, which means that all the surface-level advice you’ve ever learned will now work for you.
Social Rewiring is so effective because it gives your brain a piece of evidence that the Avoidance Loop is no longer needed in your life.
So it starts to rewire the automatic response that used to make you hold back.
And what makes it even more effective is that it works gradually, so social situations never become overwhelming.
Soon enough, you notice that the Avoidance Loop no longer controls you like it used to.
This is when you’re able to step into moments you’ve avoided before.
And that's when all the social skills tips and techniques you've already learned finally start working, because nothing is holding you back from using them anymore.
You’ll gain valuable self-awareness by simply going through the program, and that will only take a single evening (or two).
This happened to Jordan. Instantly after going through the program, he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He finally saw that he had a choice to be different.
Past students experienced their first real-life wins and results as quickly as 24 hours.
But it all depends on how fast you go through the program and put it into practice.
This program is NOT designed specifically for neurodivergent individuals or people with severe social anxiety, and it’s not a substitute for clinical treatment or professional therapy.
I’m not qualified to diagnose, treat, or give specialised guidance for conditions like ASD, ADHD, or clinically significant social anxiety/social phobia.
If that's you, the right first step is a qualified therapist or doctor who can give you support tailored to your situation.
I wish you all the best!
